Seems like you are committing a fallacy that AI skeptics commonly trip up on—insinuating that AI is just LLMs and then using the limitations of LLMs to erroneously extrapolate that those limitations would inevitably apply to any possible AI.
I guess this is fair — I can’t see into the future and know whether or not we crack how to make a machine conscious and capable of experiencing emotion. I am skeptical, though, since we don’t even know why we humans experience consciousness despite all our advances. It seems the approach is to add more complexity until consciousness emerges.
